Unite with Us to Shape a Brighter Future!
The Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines (EFCP) traces its origins to 1951 when Rev. and Mrs. Lincoln Clubine, missionaries from the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA), arrived in Manila. Although their time in the Philippines was brief due to health challenges, their pioneering work laid the foundation for the future of EFCP.
1951 – Early Beginnings: Rev. and Mrs. Clubine arrived in Manila with the vision of establishing the EFCA’s mission work in the Philippines. Despite their departure due to health reasons, their commitment to the mission continued, and the work was transferred to Cebu. There, they began to establish the first EFCP churches. This marked the beginning of EFCP's long journey of growth and expansion throughout the Philippines.
The Vision Continues: From its humble beginnings in Cebu, EFCP began to spread throughout the country, as well as internationally. Over the decades, the movement gained momentum, driven by local leaders and missionaries committed to spreading the gospel and creating communities of faith.
Current Day – A Nationwide & Global Movement: As of today, EFCP has expanded significantly, with 170 churches across 7 regions:
Luzon
Cebu
Negros-Bohol-Iloilo
Leyte-Samar
Mindanao
Japan-Hong Kong
USA-Qatar
EFCP continues to thrive through a vibrant network of local and international churches, all working towards its mission of spreading the Christian message, providing support to local communities, and fostering spiritual growth.
Commitment to the Mission: The journey of EFCP has been one of dedication, faith, and expansion, as it continues to build strong communities of believers both within the Philippines and around the world. The church network remains deeply committed to fulfilling the mission of spreading the gospel and establishing lasting relationships through faith.
